About Stepping Into Fresh Snow
“But crushed snow gets slipperyAnd you might lose your gripWhile trying To walk on the mash of icy footprintsThat soon becomeIndistinguishable”When snow falls, there will always be footprints. Following in the footprints of others involves walking over slushy, compacted snow, which becomes difficult as it gets slippery. Moreover, it can be almost impossible to distinguish between one’s own footprints and the footprints of others who have travelled along the same path.
In life, following in the path of others often means having to achieve all that they have accomplished, as well as setting the bar even higher before one can make one’s own mark. On the other hand, one can choose to step into fresh snow, trying new things and venturing into the unfamiliar, where no one else has ever trodden. It would be difficult, in a different way, but one will be able to leave one’s own unique footprints.
Stepping Into Fresh Snow explores the excitement of experiencing things for the first time, in a new way.
