When gold coins are found on the Cornwall estate David manages, he reaches out to the earl who soon turns up with his beautiful countess. A fever has left Henry unable to make love to his nubile wife, Lucrezia, but he is devoted to her. He can see she is attracted to David, so he brings them together under his supervision, much to everyone’s delight.
